The early morning sun shone through the open window at the far side of the room lighting up the almost pure white room and the single occupant of the only piece of furniture in it.

Yuuhiko lay asleep on the bed, white bandages wrapped her body covering her many burns and other wounds inflicted by Kakuzu.

Though her injuries were severe, Yuuhiko's face showed no emotions. She just dreamed seemingly peacefully, her soft regular breathing the only thing to be heard.

Standing in the doorway, Kin watched Yuuh's chest rising and falling at a normal enough pace, and sighed.

i really shouldn't be here..they might kill me. he spoke softly, looking out the window with an emotionless expression.

Naruko opens the door and walks into her room, turning around a chair so she sit straddles it. Waiting for Yuu-chan to wake.

Yuuhiko slowly opened her eyes and stared up at the pure white roof for a few moments.

Where am i?...


what happened?...


Electricity and flames danced across her memory and she sighed.

Oh yeah....

She slowly turned to look at Naruko and the stranger with an emotionless face.

Good morning....

I feel alright

Yuuhiko smiled at Naruko trying to hide how much it hurt.

So what did i miss? is Kiba alright? and the boy dressed in green?

Hai.. they are fine.

Her brow furrows as she looks at Yuu-chan knowing she was aching like heck.

There came a sudden knock at the door.

Ryuke stood at the door, his expression calm over his young, almost boyish looks, and he a slight smile fit the side of his mouth.

I hope you don't mine my intrusions, but i heard that someone is hurt, and i come bearing gifts.

He pulled out a dozen white roses from behind his back.

Naruko smiles slightly, features still kinda worried though.

Heya Ryuke.

Yuuhiko looked at the stranger and blushed slightly, not knowing how to react..

Uh....thanks

Ryuke smiles slightly and walks soundlessly over to her beside, placing the flowers in vase.

Do not worry much over it, i feel its my duty, i wouldn't rest knowing full well i cannot be supportive to someone. I am Ryuke. Its a pleasure to meet you.

His smile grew slightly, revealing white teeth.

Yuuhiko smiled back

I'm Yuuhiko, nice to meet you Ryuke

Ryuke bent down slightly, kissing her hand gently.

Its a pleasure. I apologize i cannot stay more, but i have to deal with a matter of recent attacks. I shall return as soon as i may Yuuhiko. I assure you, for now rest. Don't worry about Kakuzu, you're safe as long as i have my eye on you.

Ryuke winked at her, smiling slightly, and disappeared though a nearby window without at trace.

Yuuhiko Blushed and blinked a few times.

Well...that was...um...

what was that?

Yuuhiko continued to stare out the window, her expression suddenly serious.

Ryuke's voice repeated in her head "i have to deal with a matter of recent attacks..."

What is going on? everything's been crazy recently....

Something is going under...i can feel it....

Yuuhiko looked away from the window, still pre-occupied with her thoughts and the white roses caught her eye.

"Don't worry about Kakuzu, you're safe as long as i have my eye on you."

Yuuhiko blushed again as she remembered his words. What a nice guy....i hope i see him again....
